Jiacun Wang, Senior Member, IEEE. Received the Ph.D. degree in computer engineering from Nanjing University of Science and Technology (NUST), China, in 1991. He is currently a professor of software engineering at Monmouth University, West Long Branch, New Jersey, USA. His research interests include software engineering, discrete event systems, formal methods, machine learning, and real-time distributed systems.

Shixin Liu

Shixin Liu, Senior Member, IEEE. Received his Ph.D. degree in Systems Engineering from Northeastern University, Shenyang, China in 2000. He is currently a Professor of the College of Information Science and Engineering, Northeastern University, Shenyang, China. His research interests are in intelligent optimization algorithm, project management, and the theory and method of planning and scheduling. He has over 200 publications including 1 book.

Duc Truong Pham

Duc Truong Pham is a leading researcher in mechanical, manufacturing, computer, and systems engineering, with over 600 technical papers, 17 books, and supervision of 100+ PhD theses. He has secured £30M+ in research funding and collaborated with major companies to apply his work in industry. He has delivered 50+ keynote talks worldwide and held visiting positions at top institutions in France, China, New Zealand, and Saudi Arabia. His accolades include multiple IMechE prizes, a Lifetime Achievement Award (2016), and a Distinguished International Academic Contribution Award (2017). He is a Fellow of several prestigious engineering societies and was appointed OBE in 2003.

Eugenio Cesario

Eugenio Cesario is an Associate Professor of Computer Engineering at DICES Department, University of Calabria (Italy). His research interests fall in the broad areas of Data Analytics and Parallel/Distributed Data Mining, and include Urban Computing, Smart Cities, Energy-aware Cloud Computing, Cloud\Grid services architectures, Knowledge Discovery applications. He co-authored over 70 scientific papers in international journals, conference proceedings, and edited volumes.He is member of the Scientific Board of the Ph.D. in ICT of the University of Calabria.

Zhiwu Li

Zhiwu Li (M’06–SM’07–F’16), Fellow, IEEE. His current research interests include Petri net theory and application, supervisory control of discrete event systems, work flow modeling and analysis, system reconguration, game theory, and data and process mining.He serves as a frequent Reviewer for over 60 international journals, including Automatica and a number of the IEEE Transactions as well as several international conferences. He is the Founding Chair of the Xi’an Chapter of IEEE Systems, Man, and Cybernetics Society.

Haibin Zhu

Haibin Zhu ,Fellow, IEEE.He is a Full Professor and the Coordinator of the Computer Science Program, the Founding Director of the Collaborative Systems Laboratory, and a member of the University Budget Plan committee, Arts and Science Executive Committee, Nipissing University, Canada. He is also an affiliate full professor at Concordia Univ. and an adjunct professor at Laurentian Univ., Canada. He has accomplished (published or in press) over 280+ research works including 50+ IEEE Transactions articles, six books, five book chapters, four journal issues, and four conference proceedings.

Hui Yu

Hui Yu ,Senior Member, IEEE. He is a Professor with the University of Glasgow. He leads the Visual and Cognitive Computing Group at the university. His research interests lie in visual and cognitive computing as well as machine learning with applications to 4D facial expression modelling and analysis, human-machine interaction, intelligent vehicle, and video analysis. Professor Yu’s research work has led to several awards and successful collaboration with worldwide institutions and industries. He a Scientific Advisor for some high-tech companies in the UK.  Prof.

Xiaoou Li

Dr. Xiaoou Li obtained her Ph.D. degree from Northeastern University in 1995. Now she is a professor in the Department of Computer Science at the National Polytechnic Institute of Mexico. Dr. Li's research interests include machine learning, data science, data-driven sustainable and green automation, etc. She has published over 100 papers in authoritative journals and conferences in these areas. Additionally, Dr. Li is an active organizer of IEEE events and conference in RAS, SMC, CIS, and WIE society. She served as the General Chair of ICNSC'2016 and CASE'2022 and as the Program Chair of SSCI'2023. 

Ying Tang

Ying Tang, Senior Member,IEEE. Received her Ph.D. degree from New Jersey Institute of Technology in 2001. She is a full professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Rowan University, Glassboro, New Jersey, USA. Her current research interests lie in the area of discrete event systems and visualization, including virtual reality/augmented reality, modeling and adaptive control for computer-integrated systems, intelligent serious games, green manufacturing and automation, and Petri nets.

Guanjun Liu

Guanjun Liu (Senior Member, IEEE) received the Ph.D. degree in Computer Software and Theory from Tongji University, Shanghai, China, in 2011. He is currently a Professor with the Department of Computer Science, Tongji University. Dr. Liu has authored over 160 papers and 5 books. He served as a Guest Editor for some journals including the IEEE TRANSACTIONS ON COMPUTATIONAL SOCIAL SYSTEMS, the Mathematical Problems in Engineering, Drones, and the Journal of Software (in Chinese), and also served as a Program Committee Member for many international conferences.

Winifred Ijomah

Prof. Winifred Ijomah is PI and Technical Director of The Scottish Institute for Remanufacturing (SIR) and Reader in the Department for Design, Manufacturing and Engineering Management at the University of Strathclyde in Glasgow; UK. She has elements of her work incorporated in British Standards Institute (BSI), (e.g. BS 8887-220:2010- Design for manufacture, assembly, disassembly) and is member of National and International committees established to assist industry to meet international environmental legislation. She is initiator and Editor-in-Chief of Springer’s Journal of Remanufacturing, the first academic journal in the remanufacturing field. She established and heads the University of Strathclyde remanufacturing research group, specialising in holistic, interdisciplinary, practitioner-based research.

 

Jun Huang

Jun Huang,Special-Term Researcher at the Department of Electronic Information Engineering. His research interests span diverse areas such as intelligent remanufacturing technology, robotics and automation, and human - robot collaboration. With a rich academic trajectory, he previously worked at the University of Birmingham in the UK, collaborating with Professor Duc Truong Pham, a Fellow of the Royal Academy of Engineering. As the first or corresponding author, he has published over 20 high - level academic papers and 2 book chapters, secured 7 national patent authorizations, and engaged in multiple major EU and UK scientific research projects.

Weitian Wang

Dr. Wang,Senior Member, IEEE. He is an Associate Professor in the School of Computing and the Founder Director of the Collaborative Robotics and Smart Systems Laboratory (CRoSS Lab) at Montclair State University. His research focuses on collaborative robotics, smart systems, and their synergistic AI-enabled CRoSS-disciplinary applications in smart manufacturing and remanufacturing, sustainabilities, healthcare, intelligent transportation, clean energy, smart agriculture, daily assistance, data science, cybersecurity, and interactive learning.

Bin Hu

Bin Hu,Senior Member, IEEE. Received the B.S. degree from Xi’an Jiaotong University, Xi’an, Shaanxi, China, in 2000, the double M.S. degrees from Xi’an Jiaotong University, and Monmouth University, Long Branch, NJ, USA, in 2005 and 2018, respectively, and the Ph.D. degree from Rutgers University, New Brunswick, NJ, in 2023.
From 2005 to 2016, he was an Assistant Professor with Xi’an University of Posts and Telecommunications, Xi’an. He is currently an Assistant Professor with the Department of Computer Science and Technology, Kean University. His research interests include mobile computing and sensing, cybersecurity and privacy, and efficient deep learning.

Liang Qi

Liang Qi,Senior Member, IEEE.He is currently a lecturer of Computer Science and Technology at Shandong University of Science and Technology, Qingdao, China. He has authored over 50 technical papers in journals and conference proceedings, including IEEE Transactions on System, Man and Cybernetics: Systems, IEEE Transactions on Intelligent Transportation Systems, and IEEE/CAA Journal of Automatica Sinica. He received the Best Student Paper Award-Finalist in the 15th IEEE International Conference on Networking, Sensing and Control (ICNSC’2018). His current research interests include Petri nets, discrete event systems, and optimization algorithms.

Xiwang Guo

Xiwang Guo,Senior Member, IEEE.Received his Ph.D. degree in System Engineering from Northeastern University, Shenyang, China, in 2015. He is currently an associate professor of the College of Computer and Communication Engineering at Liaoning Petrochemical University. He has authored 100+ technical papers in journals and conference proceedings. His current research interests include Petri nets, remanufacturing, recycling and reuse of automotive, and intelligent optimization algorithm.

Yuanyaun Tan

Yuanyuan Tan's research focuses on the optimization and scheduling issues in the steel production process. As the first author, she has published and had accepted a total of 14 papers related to scheduling, of which 6 are indexed by SCI and 13 by EI. These publications appear in prestigious international and domestic journals in related fields. She has led one youth project under the National Natural Science Foundation of China and three provincial-level fund projects. In 2015, she was selected for the "Ten Thousand Talents Program" of the ninth batch of the "Hundred, Thousand, and Ten Thousand Talents Project" in Liaoning Province.

Xu Wang

Received his B.S. degree in Automation from Liaoning university of technology, Jinzhou, China, in 2006, M.S. degree in Control theory and control engineering from Liaoning university of technology, Jinzhou, China, in 2010, and Ph.D. degree in System Engineering from Northeastern University, Shenyang, China, in 2017. He is presently an Associate Professor of Computer Science and Technology at Shenyang University of Chemical Technology. His research focuses on logistics and supply chain management, project management and human resource optimization, robust optimization. He has published over 30+ journal and conference papers in the above research areas. 

Jian Zhao

Received his B.S. and M.S. degrees from University of Science and Technology Liaoning, Anshan, China, in 2004 and 2007, respectively, Ph.D. degree in System Engineering from Northeastern University, Shenyang, China, in 2019. He is currently an Associate Professor of School of Science at University of Science and Technology Liaoning. His research focuses on economic dispatch and coal blending in power systems, and intelligent optimization algorithm. Till now, he has published over 20 international journal and conference papers in the above areas.

Shujin Qin

Received his Ph.D. degree in System Engineering from Northeastern University, Shenyang, China in 2019. He joined Shangqiu Normal University, Shangqiu, China in 2019, and is now a lecturer of logistics management. His current research interests include large-scaled integer programming, cutting stock problem, vehicle routing problem, traveling repairman problem and intelligent optimization algorithm.

Yingjun Ji

Yingjun Ji (M’23) received his B.S. degree in Automation, M.S., and Ph. D. degrees in Systems Engineering from Northeastern University, Shenyang, China in 2012, 2015, and 2022, respectively. He is currently a lecturer of Faculty of Information at Liaoning University, Shenyang, China. His current research interests include industrial big data, intelligent manufacturing, machine learning, and intelligent optimization algorithm. 

Qi Zhang

Qi Zhang received her B.S. degree and M.S. degree in applied mathematics from Shenyang Normal University, Shenyang, China in 2012 and 2015, respectively, and Ph.D. degree in Systems Engineering from Northeastern University, Shenyang, China in 2022. She is currently a lecturer of the College of Information Engineering at Shenyang University of Chemical Technology. Her research focuses on bin packing problem, steel production scheduling and planning, mathematical programming, and intelligent optimization algorithm. 

Ziyan Zhao

Received his B.S., M.S., and Ph.D. degrees in 2015, 2017, and 2021, respectively, from the College of Information Science and Engineering, Northeastern University, Shenyang, China, where he is currently working as an Assistant Professor. From October 2018 to October 2020, he studied as a visiting Ph.D. student in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, New Jersey Institute of Technology, Newark, NJ, USA. His research focuses on intelligent manufacturing, intelligent optimization algorithm, industrial big data, and production planning and scheduling. Till now, he has published over 30 international journal and conference papers in the above areas.

Shen Yan

Shen Yan received his B.S. and M.S. degrees in 2014 and 2017, from the School of Science and the School of Information Science and Engineering, Shenyang University of Technology, Shenyang, China, respectively, Ph. D. degree in Systems Engineering from Northeastern University, Shenyang, China in 2024. He is currently a lecturer of the School of Science, Shenyang University of Technology, Shenyang, China. His research focuses on data mining, machine learning and deep learning.

Zhenlu Qin

Zhenlu Qin is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science & Computer Information Systems at Auburn University at Montgomery. He received his Ph.D. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the New Jersey Institute of Technology in 2024. Before that, he earned his bachelor's and master's degrees from Hefei University of Technology, China, in 2014 and 2017, respectively. His research interests include scientific big data, scientific data management, high-performance computing (HPC), data compression and reduction, and I/O performance.

Yan Wang

Dr. Yan Wang is one of the UK’s leading researchers in remanufacturing, has published 100+ papers in manufacturing and been granted 10 patents. Dr Wang chairs BSI committee TPR1/7/3, serves on BSI technical group BS8887 which gives the definition of remanufacturing with her knowledge embedded into Part 3 of BS8887 “the Guide to choosing an appropriate end-of-life strategy”. She is the secretary of the Sino-UK Low Carbon Manufacturing Consortium supported by EPSRC network fund (EP/J007870/1).
